ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Kimberly

Facetune_17-12-2025-18-05-52.jpeg

I am running for State Representative in Michigan’s 11th House District because I believe the strongest leadership is grounded in service, integrity, and faith. For more than 80 years, my family has called this community home. My grandparents, my parents, and I are all proud graduates of Detroit Public Schools, and I live and work in the district I am seeking to serve.

This is not just where I show up—it’s where I belong.

A Life of Purpose, Service, and Cultivation

I have always believed life should be lived with intention and abundance—not abundance that is hoarded, but abundance that is shared. My philosophy is rooted in cultivation: whatever we are blessed to acquire should be multiplied in the lives of others.

Anchored in Detroit’s entrepreneurial and civic landscape, I have spent years serving as a connector between community, business, and government. I believe deeply in vision paired with follow-through, and faith paired with action. Leadership, to me, is about listening first and delivering consistently.

As the founder and owner of Lily’s & Elise Tea House, Michigan’s only Black woman-owned tea house, I created more than a business. Located on Detroit’s historic Avenue of Fashion, the tea house is a place of gathering, employment, mentorship, and healing. Through this work, I understand firsthand the challenges small businesses and families face—rising utility costs, workforce shortages, and the need for smart, supportive public policy.

Public Service Experience—Grounded in Community

I also bring valuable experience from my time working within Wayne County government, where I served in a senior community engagement role supporting countywide initiatives and neighborhood-focused problem-solving. In that work, I partnered closely with residents, community organizations, and public leaders to strengthen relationships, elevate local voices, and advance long-overdue projects.

That experience deepened my understanding of how government systems work—and how they must work better for the people they are meant to serve. I have also collaborated with leaders across Macomb County, recognizing that families, jobs, and daily life often cross county lines and require coordinated, thoughtful leadership.

Guided by faith and driven by purpose, I am running to address rising utility costs, housing stability, small-business growth, and community safety through prevention. This is not simply a campaign—it is a movement for change, progress, and restored opportunity in the 11th House District.

I believe leadership should show up, stay rooted, and deliver. And I am ready to do exactly that for the community that raised me.

OUR PRIORITIES

Real solutions. Real accountability. Real progress right here at home.

Kimberly E. Fisher’s priorities are rooted in what residents of Detroit and Warren live every day—because she has
listened to them, walked with them, and, in many cases, faces these same challenges herself. These are not abstract talking points; they are kitchen-table concerns, shaped by countless conversations with neighbors, parents, seniors, workers, and small-business owners across the district.
From rising utility bills to unsafe streets, from job insecurity to neglected infrastructure, Kimberly has heard the stories directly—and she is running to turn those lived experiences into action, accountability, and real progress for the communities she calls home.
